The battle between the Golden Flashes and Tigers didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Towson was handed a 41-21 defeat on Thursday at Dix Stadium.
David Fisher completed 3 of 3 pass attempts for 84 yards for the Golden Flashes in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Terrance West rushed for 31 yards for Towson, while Grant Enders added 27 yards. Grant Enders threw for 246 yards for the Tigers, while receivers Spencer Wilkins and Erron Banks had 80 and 56 yards respectively.
Kent State was outgained by Towson 316-267 yards in Thursday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 19-15 by the Tigers.
Kent State lost the time of possession battle 31:58/28:02, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Kent State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Kentucky. Towson will aim to get back on the winning track at LSU.
