Bowling Green vs Massachusetts Wrap - Bowling Green Wins 24-0
Massachusetts couldn't hang with the Falcons on Saturday as Bowling Green blasted the Minutemen 24-0 in Week 8 action at Gillette Stadium.
The Falcons were a 19.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 50.5.
Matt Schilz completed 21 of 35 pass attempts for 188 yards for the Falcons in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Michael Cox rushed for 37 yards for Massachusetts, while Mike Wegzyn added 33 yards. Mike Wegzyn threw for 23 yards for the Minutemen, while receivers Marken Michel and Deion Walker had 18 and 13 yards respectively.
Massachusetts lost the offensive yardage battle to Bowling Green 282-118 yards in Saturday's game. Bowling Green had more first downs as that total ended up 15-6.
The time of possession battle favored Bowling Green as their offense was on the field for 35:29, longer than the 24:31 of their opponents.
