Nevada Defeats Texas State 34-21 - Recap
Stefphon Jefferson scampered through the Texas State defense for 178 yards as Nevada handed the Bobcats a 34-21 defeat on Saturday at Bobcat Stadium.
Nevada did not, however, defeat the Bobcats against the spread, which closed at 18 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 63.5.
Cody Fajardo completed 21 of 34 pass attempts for 286 yards for the Wolf Pack in the win. He was picked off 1 time by the Bobcats defense.
Marcus Curry rushed for 33 yards for Texas State, while Terrence Franks added 24 yards. Shaun Rutherford threw for 143 yards for the Bobcats, while receivers Andy Erickson and Chase Harper had 108 and 35 yards respectively.
Texas State was outgained by Nevada 559-254 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 31-18 by the Wolf Pack.
The time of possession battle favored Nevada as their offense was on the field for 32:28, longer than the 26:15 of their opponents.
Nevada looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Wyoming. Texas State will aim to get back on the winning track at New Mexico.
