Boston got 21 points from Kevin Garnett in a losing cause and another 21 points from Paul Pierce. Rajon Rondo contributed 9 assists for the Celtics, while Jermaine O'Neal had 12 rebounds.
Indiana led at halftime, 56-48.
The rebound battle favored Indiana as they grabbed 52 boards, while Boston only had 45.
Indiana heads into a battle against the Kings. Boston, meanwhile, will have their next action against Oklahoma City.
