Dallas got 17 points from Rodrigue Beaubois and another 12 points from Dirk Nowitzki. Jason Kidd contributed 11 assists, while Shawn Marion cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
The Jazz got a 22-point performance from Al Jefferson, who was supported by 17 points from C.J. Miles. Earl Watson had 7 assists in a losing cause for Utah, while Paul Millsap grabbed 13 rebounds.
Dallas led at halftime, 59-50.
Utah won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 44-33.
Next game, Dallas takes its act on the road to face New Orleans looking for another win. For Utah, they head home to face Minnesota.
