Minnesota got 22 points from Luke Ridnour and another 13 points from Ricky Rubio. Ricky Rubio contributed 11 assists, while Kevin Love cleaned the glass with 18 rebounds.
Houston got 24 points from Luis Scola in a losing cause and another 24 points from Kyle Lowry. Kyle Lowry contributed 11 assists for the Rockets, while Luis Scola had 8 rebounds.
Minnesota led at halftime, 55-42.
The rebound battle favored Minnesota as they grabbed 48 boards, while Houston only had 37.
Minnesota heads into a battle against the Kings. Houston, meanwhile, will have their next action against Denver.
