Detroit got 23 points from Rodney Stuckey in a losing cause and another 17 points from Brandon Knight. Rodney Stuckey contributed 8 assists for the Pistons, while Greg Monroe had 9 rebounds.
The Suns hit the break trailing 59-54 before taking care of business in the second half.
Phoenix had a 40-32 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Phoenix looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Rockets. The Pistons will aim to get back on the winning track at Los Angeles.
