New Jersey got 20 points from Deron Williams in a losing cause and another 19 points from Gerald Wallace. Deron Williams contributed 6 assists for the Nets, while Kris Humphries had 15 rebounds.
The Lakers hit the break leading 58-45 before taking care of business in the second half.
Los Angeles won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 50-38.
Los Angeles looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Clippers. The Nets will aim to get back on the winning track at Portland.
