New Jersey got 24 points from Anthony Morrow and another 18 points from Deron Williams. Deron Williams contributed 10 assists, while Kris Humphries cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Cleveland got 34 points from Antawn Jamison in a losing cause and another 26 points from Lester Hudson. Donald Sloan contributed 14 assists for the Cavaliers, while Tristan Thompson had 15 rebounds.
First-half bettors who backed New Jersey were victorious, as the score was 56-48 at the break.
New Jersey won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 52-48.
Next game, New Jersey takes its act home to face Philadelphia looking for another win. For Cleveland, they head home to face Charlotte.
