The battle between the Wizards and Heat didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Miami was handed a 104-70 defeat on Thursday at Verizon Center.
The Wizards were a 7.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 182.5.
Washington got 18 points from Maurice Evans and another 15 points from Kevin Seraphin. John Wall contributed 12 assists, while Jan Vesely cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
Miami got 14 points from Norris Cole in a losing cause and another 10 points from Eddy Curry. Terrel Harris contributed 3 assists for the Heat, while Ronny Turiaf had 5 rebounds.
Washington led at halftime, 57-32.
Washington won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 43-31.
