Portland got 19 points from J.J. Hickson and another 17 points from LaMarcus Aldridge. Nicolas Batum contributed 8 assists, while J.J. Hickson cleaned the glass with 15 rebounds.
Phoenix got 18 points from Marcin Gortat in a losing cause and another 15 points from Shannon Brown. Jared Dudley contributed 10 assists for the Suns, while Marcin Gortat had 9 rebounds.
Portland trailed at halftime, 53-44.
Portland won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 45-32.
Next game, Portland takes its act on the road to face Sacramento looking for another win. For Phoenix, they head home to face Los Angeles.
