The battle between the Nets and Kings didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Sacramento was handed a 113-93 defeat on Saturday at Barclays Center.
The Nets were a 7-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 196.5.
Brooklyn got 18 points from Brook Lopez and another 15 points from Joe Johnson. Deron Williams contributed 7 assists, while Reggie Evans cleaned the glass with 12 rebounds.
Sacramento got 28 points from DeMarcus Cousins in a losing cause and another 15 points from Jason Thompson. Aaron Brooks contributed 4 assists for the Kings, while DeMarcus Cousins had 11 rebounds.
First-half bettors who backed Brooklyn were victorious, as the score was 65-47 at the break.
Brooklyn won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 51-41.
Brooklyn heads into a battle against the 76ers. Sacramento, meanwhile, will have their next action against Memphis.
