Greivis Vasquez scored 17 points leading the Hornets to an 88-79 victory over Houston at New Orleans Arena on Wednesday.
The Hornets were a 2.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 200.5.
New Orleans got 17 points from Roger Mason and another 17 points from Jason Smith. Greivis Vasquez contributed 11 assists, while Al-Farouq Aminu cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Houston got 25 points from James Harden in a losing cause and another 9 points from Jeremy Lin. Jeremy Lin contributed 5 assists for the Rockets, while Patrick Patterson had 10 rebounds.
The Hornets hit the break trailing 36-34 before taking care of business in the second half.
New Orleans had a 46-39 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, New Orleans takes its act home to face Minnesota looking for another win. For Houston, they head on the road to face Boston.
