The battle between the Raptors and Bobcats didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Charlotte was handed a 99-78 defeat on Friday at Air Canada Centre.
The Raptors were an 8-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 195.5.
Toronto got 16 points from Alan Anderson and another 15 points from Jose Calderon. Jose Calderon contributed 6 assists, while Landry Fields cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Charlotte got 12 points from Kemba Walker in a losing cause and another 12 points from Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Ramon Sessions contributed 3 assists for the Bobcats, while Jeff Adrien had 9 rebounds.
Toronto led at halftime, 53-39.
The rebound battle favored Toronto as they grabbed 48 boards, while Charlotte only had 41.
Toronto looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Bucks. The Bobcats will aim to get back on the winning track at Indiana.
