The Pistons were a 6.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 191.5.
Detroit got 26 points from Greg Monroe and another 10 points from Kim English. Jose Calderon contributed 18 assists, while Greg Monroe cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Washington got 22 points from Trevor Ariza in a losing cause and another 16 points from Bradley Beal. A.J. Price contributed 8 assists for the Wizards, while Chris Singleton had 8 rebounds.
Detroit trailed at halftime, 55-51.
Washington won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 39-36.
Next game, Detroit takes its act on the road to face New Orleans looking for another win. For Washington, they head home to face New York.
