Villanova sneaks past George Mason

The fifth-ranked Villanova Wildcats rallied with 41 points in the second half to earn a 69-68 victory over the George Mason Patriots Thursday afternoon in the opening round of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

Villanova failed to cover the 14.5-point spread, and the 137 points went UNDER the posted total of 143.

Scottie Reynolds led the way with 18 points, and Corey Fisher added 17 in the win for Villanova.

Ryan Pearson netted 14 points with eight rebounds for George Mason.
