The St. John's Red Storm held on to a 79-76 win over the Brown Bears at Carnesecca Arena Friday night.
Brown covered as a 16-point road underdog.
The Red Storm were led by Dwight Hardy's 16 points and D.J. Kennedy's 15 points while Sean Evans chipped in with 14 points in the win.
The Bears got 17 points from Peter Sullivan, 16 points from Matt Mullery and 14 points from Steve Gruber.
