Derwin Kitchen shot 6-for-11 from the field with 16 points as the Florida State Seminoles defeated the Iona Gaels 54-49 Thursday night in the opening round of the Old Spice Classic.
Florida State could not cover the 13-point spread, and the 103 points went UNDER the posted total of 140.
Chris Singleton chipped in with 13 points for Florida State. Jermel Jenkins had 12 points in the loss for Iona.
