Monroe, Georgetown takes down Butler

Greg Monroe went for 24 points and 15 rebounds to lead No. 15 Georgetown over No. 22 Butler 72-65 in the Jimmy V Classic in New York on Tuesday night.

Georgetown covered as 2.5-point favorites, while the teams played OVER the 127-point total listed by sportsbooks.

Austin Freeman added 18 points for the Hoyas, who got nine points and seven boards from Jason Clark in the win.

Gordon Hayward dropped 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Butler, while Shelvin Mack scored 12 points for the Bulldogs.
