Verdell Jones III scored 22 points to lead Indiana over Pittsburgh 74-64 in the Jimmy V Classic in New York on Tuesday night.

Indiana cashed as 8.5-point underdogs, while the teams played OVER the 132-point total listed by sportsbooks.

Christian Watford added 18 points for the Hoosiers, who got eight points and eight rebounds from Maurice Creek in the upset.

Ashton Gibbs poured in 25 points for Pitt, while Brad Wanamaker went for 18 points and six boards for the Panthers.
