Blake Hoffarber kept up his sharp shooting as a starter with 20 points and Ralph Sampson had his first career double-double, leading the Minnesota Golden Gophers to a 97-74 victory over the St. Joseph's Hawks on Saturday.
The Gophers covered the 19-point spread, while the final score played OVER the day's posted total of 143.
Sampson finished with a career-high 16 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three blocks.
Darrin Govens and Garrett Williamson each had 15 points for St. Joseph's.
