UNLV tops Southern Methodist

Tre'Von Willis and Anthony Marshall netted 12 points apiece, as UNLV got past Southern Methodist 67-53 in the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu on Tuesday night.

UNLV covered as 10-point favorites, while the teams played UNDER the 138-point total posted by oddsmakers.

Chace Stanback dropped 11 points for the Runnin' Rebels, who got 10 points from Matt Shaw in the win.

Derek Williams scored 18 points to lead SMU, while Papa Dia added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Mustangs.
