Marshall outlasts Troy

The Marshall Thundering Herd scored a game-winning basket with seconds remaining to seal a 78-75 win over the Troy Trojans Monday night.

Marshall managed to cover the 2.5-point spread, while the 153 points went UNDER the posted total of 159.

Hassan Whiteside tossed in 18 points to lead the way, and Tyler Wilkerson chipped in with 15 points for Marshall.

Antywan Jones scored a game-high 20 points, and Richard Delk had 17 in the loss for Troy.
