Tar Heels slip past Hokies

Ed Davis scored 20 points Sunday night and the North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the Virginia Tech Hokies 78-64.

The Tar Heels were a 9-point favorite in the game and were able to cover the spread. The combined score went OVER the posted over/under total (148.5).

Larry Drew II added 14 points for North Carolina and Deon Thompson netted 13 points.

Malcolm Delaney led the Hokies with 26 points and Dorenzo Hudson had 14 points.
