The Mississippi State Bulldogs were outplayed in the second half, but managed to hang on for an 84-82 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks Thursday night.
Mississippi State failed to cover the 13.5-point spread, while the 166 points sailed OVER the posted total of 145.
Dee Bost led the way with 20 points for Mississippi State, and Jarvis Varnado added 17 in the win.
Marshawn Powell tossed in a game-high 25 points for Arkansas, and Courtney Fortson had 20 in a losing effort.
