The Kentucky Wildcats sent a message through the SEC with a 85-72 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores at Rupp Arena Saturday.
Kentucky covered as an 8.5-point home favorite while the final score played OVER the 154-point total.
Freshman forward DeMarcus Cousins led the Wildcats with 21 points and 10 rebounds. John Wall and Eric Bledsoe added 13 points each and Darnell Dodson chipped in with 16 points.
Jermaine Beal led the Commodores with 19 points. Big man A.J. Ogilvy struggled scoring just 12 points.
