Durrell Summers poured in 28 points with 10 rebounds for a double-double Saturday, helping the Michigan State Spartans defeat the Northwestern Wildcats 79-70.

Michigan State failed to cover the 13.5-point spread, while the combined score sailed OVER the posted total of 136.

Kalin Lucas added 21 points for Michigan State, and Draymond Green hauled down 10 boards in the win.

John Shurma had 29 points and six rebounds for Northwestern, and Jeremy Nash collected 14 in the loss.
