An early lead helped propel the Illinois Fighting Illini to a 57-49 victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes Wednesday night.
Illinois managed to cover the 4.5-point spread, but the teams played UNDER the posted total of 132.
Demetri McCamey led the way with 15 points, and Mike Tisdale added 14 in the win. Matt Gatens tossed in 12 points in the loss for Iowa.
