Virginia Tech outlasts North Carolina

Malcolm Delaney netted 21 points in helping the Virginia Tech Hokies to a 74-70 win over the North Carolina Tar Heels Thursday night.

Virginia Tech covered the 3.5-point spread, while the 144 points went UNDER the posted total of 146.5.

Dorenzo Hudson collected 17 points for Virginia Tech, and Jeff Allen added 14 in the win.

Ed Davis had 15 points for North Carolina, and Will Graves had 14 in the loss.
