Iowa takes down Northwestern

Matt Gatens put up 16 points and six rebounds to lead Iowa past Northwestern 78-65 on Wednesday night.

Iowa cashed as 3.5-point home underdogs, while the game played OVER the 125-point total set by oddsmakers.

Devan Bawinkel netted 15 points for the Hawkeyes, who got 13 points and 11 boards from Aaron Fuller in the upset.

Michael Thompson dropped 20 points for Northwestern, while John Shurna added 16 points for the Wildcats.
