Pittsburgh survives against St. John's

The Pittsburgh Panthers avoided an upset to the St. John's Red Storm, winning 71-64 at Madison Square Garden Saturday afternoon.

Pittsburgh covered as a 2-point road favorite while the final score played OVER the 121.5-point total.

The Panthers were paced by 13-point performances from Gilbert Brown and Nasir Robinson. Ashton Gibbs chipped in with 12 points in the win.

The Red Storm got 15 points from Dwight Hardy while D.J. Kennedy added 12 points and five rebounds.
