Notre Dame upsets Georgetown
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are clinging to the NCAA birth after defeating the Georgetown Hoyas 78-64 at the Verizon Center Saturday.
Notre Dame covered as a 10.5-point road underdog while the final score played UNDER the 144-point total.
Without star center Luke Harangody in the lineup, the Irish got a big game from guard Ben Hansbrough, who scored 21 points in the win. Tim Abromaitis added 19 points.
The Hoyas were led by center Greg Monroe's 15 points and 12-point performances from Jason Clark and Hollis Thompson.
