Southern Miss tops East Carolina

The Southern Miss Golden Eagles scored 43 points in the second half and came away with a 75-65 win over the East Carolina Pirates Saturday night.

Southern Miss covered the 5.5-point spread, while the 140 points sailed OVER the posted total of 129.

R.L. Horton shot 6-for-9 from the field with 14 points for Southern Miss, and Gary Flowers added13 in the win.

Brock Young poured in a game-high 15 points in a losing effort for East Carolina.
