Villanova fends off Dayton

The Villanova Wildcats held off a late surge and won their second-round matchup in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off with a 71-65 victory over the Dayton Flyers Friday afternoon.

Villanova managed to cover the 5-point spread, but the combined 136 points went UNDER the posted total of 143.5.

Corey Fisher shot 4-for-7 from the field with 18 points, and Taylor King added 14 in the win.

Luke Fabrizius netted 16 points in a losing cause for Dayton.
