The Syracuse Orange stumped the North Carolina Tar Heels in the second half, taking a 87-71 win in the Coaches vs. Cancer final at Madison Square Garden Friday night.
Syracuse covered as a 1.5-point neutral-site underdog while the final score played UNDER the 159.5-point total.
The Orange were led by star transfer Wesley Johnson, who scored 27 points. Forward Arinze Onuaku chipped in with 15 points inside.
The Tar Heels got 16 points from sophomore froward Ed Davis while Marcus Ginyard added 15 points in the loss.
