BYU advances past TCU
The BYU Cougars scored 56 points in the second half and pulled away for an 95-85 victory over the TCU Horned Frogs in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West Conference tournament Thursday night.
BYU failed to cover the 16-point spread, while the combined score sailed OVER the posted total of 144.5.
Jimmer Fredette poured in a game-high 45 points to lead BYU. Jackson Emery finished with 15 points in the win.
Ronnie Moss collected 22 points and five rebounds for TCU.
