Ohio State stumps Illinois in OT
The Ohio State kept their dreams of a No. 1 seed alive with a 88-81 double-overtime win against the Illinois Fighting Illini in the Big Ten tournament semifinals at Conseco Fieldhouse Saturday.
Illinois covered as a 7.5-point underdog while the final score played over the 131-point total.
Evan Turner had a huge game for the Buckeyes, scoring 31 points, dishing six assists and pulling down 10 rebounds. Dave Lighty stepped up big in overtime, finishing the day with 12 points while William Buford added 22 points in the win.
The Fighting Illini were led by Demetri McCamey's 22 points and five assists. D.J. Richardson scored 15 points while Mike Davis scored 13 points and grabbed 18 rebounds.
