Mississippi State stops Vanderbilt

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are back in the SEC championship game with a 62-52 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores in the SEC semifinals at Bridgestone Arena Saturday.

MSU covered as a 1.5-point underdog while the final score played UNDER the 143-point total.

The Bulldogs were led by Barry Stewart's 14 points while Jarvis Varnado, Dee Bost and Phil Turner all scored 11 points in the win.

The Commodores got 11 points from Jermaine Beal and nine points and eight rebounds from Jeffery Taylor.
