The West Virginia Mountaineers opened the NCAA tournament with a 77-50 thumping of the Morgan State Golden Bears Friday afternoon.
West Virginia covered the 16.5-point spread, while the 125 points went UNDER the posted total of 137.5.
Kevin Jones shot 8-for-9 from the field with 17 points and seven rebounds for West Virginia.
Reggie Holmes was the high-scorer for Morgan State with 12 points.
