Baylor topples Sam Houston State

Ekpe Udoh netted 20 points and hauled down 13 rebounds for a double-double in leading the Baylor Bears to a 68-59 victory over the Sam Houston State Bearkats Thursday afternoon in the opening round of the NCAA tournament.

Baylor failed to cover the 10.5-point spread, while the teams played UNDER the posted total of 149.

LaceDarius Dunn added 13 points in the win for Baylor. Gilberto Clavell had 23 points and seven rebounds for Sam Houston State.
