Michigan slips past New Mexico State

Kalin Lucas netted a game-high 25 points as the Michigan State Spartans defeated the New Mexico State Aggies 70-67 in the first-round of the NCAA tournament Friday night.

Michigan State failed to cover the 3-point spread, while the 137 points went UNDER the posted total of 150.5.

Durrell Summers led the way with 14 points for New Mexico State. Troy Gillenwater had 11 points in a losing effort for New Mexico State.
