Connecticut gets past Northeastern

Jerome Dyson scored 18 points to lift No. 4 Connecticut past No. 5 Northeastern 59-57 in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament on Tuesday night.

UConn couldn't cover as 7-point home favorites, while the game played UNDER the 126-point total set by oddsmakers.

Stanley Robinson added 14 points and six rebounds for the Huskies, who got eight points and nine boards from Alex Oriakhi in the win.

Matt Janning dropped 17 points for Northeastern, while Manny Adako netted 14 points for the Huskies.
