North Carolina upset No. 1 Mississippi State
The North Carolina Tar Heels knocked off the top-seed Mississippi State Bulldogs, 76-74, on Larry Drew II's layup with four seconds left on the clock in the second round of the NIT at Humphrey Coliseum Saturday.
UNC covered as a 7.5-point road underdog while the final score played OVER the 144.5-point total.
Drew finished with just five points in the win. The Tar Heels were led by Will Graves' 17 points and 12 points from John Henson.
The Bulldogs got 14 points from both Jarvis Varnado and Dee Bost. Barry Stewart scored a game-high 18 points in the loss.
