Illinois overwhelms Kent State

Mike Tisdale had 17 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks, as No. 1 Illinois handled No. 4 Kent State 75-58 in the second round of the National Invitation Tournament on Monday night.

Illinois covered as 8-point home favorites, while the game played UNDER the 137-point total set by sportsbooks.

Mike Davis went for 16 points and 16 boards for the Fighting Illini, who got 15 points and 10 assists from Demetri McCamey in the win.

Justin Greene posted 15 points and seven rebounds for Kent State, while Anthony Simpson finished with 14 points and seven boards for the Golden Flashes.
