Marcus Johnson dropped 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead No. 3 Dayton past No. 2 Cincinnati 81-66 in the second round of the National Invitation Tournament on Monday night.
Dayton cashed as 3.5-point road underdogs, while the teams played OVER the 129-point total set by oddsmakers.
Rob Lowery scored 13 points for the Flyers, who got 11 points from Chris Wright and Paul Williams in the victory.
Deonta Vaughn had 28 points and four steals for Cincinnati, while Lance Stephenson went for 13 points and six boards for the Bearcats.
