St. Mary's victorious over Villanova

The 10th-seeded St. Mary's Gaels are throwing their hat in the ring as this year's Cinderella after knocking off the second-seeded Villanova Wildcats, 75-68, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at the Dunkin Donuts Center Saturday.

St. Mary's covered as a 4-point underdog while the final score played UNDER the 153-point total.

The Gaels' upset victory was fueled by 32 points from center Omar Samhan and 15 points from guard Mickey McConnell.

The Wildcats were led by Corey Stokes' 15 points and Maalik Wayns' 10 points. Star senior Scottie Reynolds scored just eight points in the loss.
