Kansas State downs Xavier in thriller

The Kansas State Wildcats clawed their way to a thrilling 101-96 double OT victory over the Xavier Musketeers to reach the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament Thursday night.

Kansas State failed to cover the 5-point spread, while the 197 points sailed OVER the posted total of 150.5.

Jacob Pullen poured in 28 points with four rebounds in leading Kansas State, and Denis Clemente added 25 in the win.

Jordan Crawford tossed in a game-high 32 points, and Terrell Holloway added 26 in the loss.
