The battle between Oklahoma and Coppin State didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Coppin State was handed a 77-57 defeat on Friday at Lloyd Noble Center.
Oklahoma got 22 points from Andrew Fitzgerald and another 13 points from Steven Pledger. Nick Thompson contributed 7 assists, while Cameron Clark cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Coppin State got 18 points from Michael Harper in a losing cause and another 11 points from Mike Simpson. Tony Gallo contributed 2 assists for them, while Antonio Williams had 5 rebounds.
Oklahoma led at halftime, 36-27.
The rebound battle favored Oklahoma as they grabbed 36 boards, while Coppin State only had 33.
