Eastern Michigan was burned for 31 points by Ray McCallum on Saturday as Detroit picked up a 68-65 win at EMU Convocation Center.
Detroit did not, however, defeat Eastern Michigan against the spread, which closed at 5.5 at most sportsbooks.

Eastern Michigan got a 31-point performance from Brandon Bowdry, who was supported by 12 points from Derek Thompson. Darrell Lampley had 6 assists in a losing cause for Eastern Michigan, while Brandon Bowdry grabbed 19 rebounds.
Detroit led at halftime, 27-21.
Eastern Michigan won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 62-47.
