Notre Dame Defeats Rutgers 76-69 - Recap
Notre Dame got 25 points from Ben Hansbrough en route to a 76-69 victory over Rutgers on Sunday at Joyce Center.
Notre Dame did not, however, defeat Rutgers against the spread, which closed at 11.5 at most sportsbooks.
Notre Dame got 14 points from Scott Martin and another 12 points from Carleton Scott. Eric Atkins contributed 6 assists, while Carleton Scott cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Rutgers got 24 points from Jonathan Mitchell in a losing cause and another 11 points from Dane Miller. Mike Coburn contributed 5 assists for them, while Jonathan Mitchell had 7 rebounds.
Notre Dame led at halftime, 37-33.
Notre Dame won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 36-31.
